Argentina’s Upper House Holds First Session; Malvinas Main Topic

Today the Upper House will hold its first session of the year in which lawmakers will ratify Argentina’s sovereignty claim over Malvinas Islands, appoint new ambassadors, and announce promotions within the Argentine Navy. The session is scheduled at 3 pm.

Senators will also ratify the declaration signed in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego province by a committee formed by deputies and senators claiming sovereignty over the Malvinas, Sandwich, and South Georgia islands in hands of the British Empire at the South Atlantic.
